The Amelia V-Neck Jumper - Knitting Pattern | PT 8716

A cosy, flattering jumper with a deep V detail and luxurious drape.

Construction

Knit in pieces from the bottom up. Neckband picked up at end and knitted up on circular needles (not in the round). Raglan sleeves.

Tension

22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm over stocking stitch using 4.00mm needles.

Suitable Yarns

Shown in Alpaca 8 ply. This pattern could be knitted in our 8 ply wool yarns like Whisper 8 ply, Luxury 8 ply or Classic 8 ply, however they will have less drape and a different fit. (Equivalent yarns: DK or Light Worsted).

Accessories

1 pair each 3.25mm and 4.00mm knitting needles and 3.25mm circular needle, or size needles to give correct tension, 3 stitch-holders.

Techniques you'll be employing

Knitting through back loop, make 1, passing slip stitch over, knitting up stitches for neckband. Neckband is picked up and worked back and forth, not in the round.

Model A measures 114cm bust, wears size to fit 100cm (finished chest 114cm). Model B measures 103cm bust, wears same size. This garment features a large amount of positive ease (difference between body measurement and final garment measurement) so size down for a closer fit if preferred.
